Solomon Island Collection Starts Today

Solomon Island Mission Collection

JK – 5th graders: Please donate SCHOOL SUPPLIES: crayons, pens, pencils, markers & scissors.

Bishop Chris Cardone, O.P. uncle of SHS grads Nick & Annie Yurek, is a missionary in the Solomon Islands, a poor South Pacific country. His mission needs our help. Only about half of the children are educated because they lack teachers, books and supplies.

Junior High students: Please donate SOCCER BALLS.

Youth ministry includes soccer tournaments that draw young people into the Catholic Church. You can help with this unique evangelization effort! Soccer balls are scarce. Some villages have one ball for all to share. Children without soccer balls use coconuts to play this popular game.

Please include $5 for postage.

Donations are due by Friday, 11/16.

Halloween Candy

HALLOWEEN CANDY………….

Halloween is here and so much candy is in the house. How do you get rid of it all? Sacred Heart will be collecting candy from Thursday, November 1st till Friday, November 9th. Please drop it off in the school office and we will make sure that it ends up with those who are less fortunate. Questions, please email Mary Hickey at marysheehyhickey@cs.com. Please no Halloween toys or Apples.

Photo Retake Day is tomorrow!

Don’t forget tomorrow is Photo Retake Day! If your child is retaking their picture (or taking it for the first time), they may be out of uniform. They will need to bring in their original picture packets, so if you haven’t sent it in to me yet, please have them bring it tomorrow morning. Picture retakes start right at 8:30 and we will be doing our best to get everyone in and out as quickly as possible.
